The U.S. Department of Labor has published the H-2A Adverse Effect Wage Rates for 2021.  You can access these rates here.

Datatech will be releasing updated State Tax Rate files with the new rates this week.

The American Farm Bureau also posted some additional information on the reason for the delay of new rates, increases by percentage, and a national map of the rates.  You can access that article here.

Prevailing Wage by Region & Job

In March 2020, H-2A employers in the California North Coast region received notice that a higher prevailing wage would apply to Wine Grape Harvest work.  To assist customers in ensuring they pay the correct minimum prevailing wage, a new field was added to Datatech’s Pay Rate Table to assign a minimum H-2A rate by Job.

We do not know if similar increases will happen in 2021. If they do and you need assistance setting up minimum rates by Job for H-2A workers, please contact our support team at Support@DatatechAg.com.
