Sacramento, Calif. – The California Farm Labor Contractors Association has announced the dates for the rest of the year for their 9-hour Continuing Education for Farm Labor Contractors(FLCs) Licensing training in English and Spanish.
The Ag Employers Compliance Conference is set for May 11, 2016 at the Elks Lodge, 614 Airport Blvd. Salinas, CA 93905, early registration ends May 4. If you’re a Agricultural Personnel Management Association member you can received a special discounted rate.
You’ll learn about new regulations affecting FLC licensing, as well as potential changes in Cal OSHA regulations.
2016 brings new laws and regulations affecting FLCs and other employers. You’ll receive updates on critical requirements and share best practices for FLCs such as AB 1513 & wage and hour issues impacting piece-rate work; changes in Cal OSHA enforcement issues; required training on Harassment Prevention; and pending changes at the ALRB. They’ll also cover the latest on Mandatory Paid Sick Leave.
This program is accredited by the Division of Labor Standard Enforcement for 9-Hours of continuing education for FLC licensing and is valid for 12 months.
If you’re a supervisor you can receive a special discount. This will be a fine opportunity to educate supervisors, safety coordinators, and HR personnel involved in implementation of the required programs and should be aware of specific regulations covered in the 9-hour program. Supervisors also receive certificates for completion of the required two-hours of Sexual Harassment Prevention training.
