An update is now available that allows you to export Component 1 Data into a CSV or Excel format. This means you can now upload the file to the EEO website, instead of entering the data manually. To download the latest update, go to Tools > Check for Updates. Below are instructions for generating this file in your Datatech HR Software.
Note: Previously, this export option was only available for the Component 2 Data. If you were to export the Component 2 data and try to upload it to the EEO-1 reporting, it would get rejected. Therefore, it is important to make sure that you are only selecting Export Component 1 Reporting Data for the purposes of the Federal EEO-1 reporting.
EEO-1 Deadline
The 2022 EEO-1 Component 1 Data Collection opened October 31, 2023 and is due December 5, 2023. Filers are encouraged to begin the filing process as soon as possible.
The EEO-1 report is required for all private sector employers with 100 or more employees, and federal contractors with 50 or more employees meeting certain criteria.

Instructions for Generating EEO-1 File
Datatech’s HR software allows you to easily collect and edit the required information about your employees, and then preview a report of the information.
You can report using the EEO website: eeocdata.org/EEO1/file.
1. In your HR program, go to Reports > Federal EEO-1/California Payroll Employee Report. (You will need to have downloaded the latest program update to use the File Upload.)
2. Enter your Starting and Ending Snapshot Dates.
Manual Entry
You can now click Preview and enter the information generated from the report manually to the EEO website.
File Upload
Or you can select Export Component 1 Reporting Data, select the Format, enter your Company ID, and then click Preview. Enter your Company ID again for the Unit Number, and review your company’s information. You can then upload the CSV or Excel file generated to the website.
