Datatech is currently finalizing program changes for the new 941 form. This form has significant changes for the Covid-19 related tax credits.
You should start familiarizing yourself with the new form, especially if you have Covid-19 wage credits. A worksheet, found in the instructions, will not be completed by the software. You will be responsible for completing the worksheet and transfering applicable credits to the 941 window in your Datatech software.
When the software update is available, we will post that on our support blog. This will also include information on how to gather wages and tax credit totals for the worksheet.
Until then, you may close your payroll quarter, but wait until the new form is avaialble to complete the 941, even if you don’t have Covid-19 wages/credits.

The 943 form will also be updated when the IRS has released the 2020 form. Further instructions will come towards the end of the year as the 943 is only filed annually.
